Today representatives of the largest portfolio companies of the Fund - mentors of Zhas Orken internship programme met to discuss development of mentoring institute within the Fund group of companies, as well as further implementation of the programme.
Samruk-Kazyna JSC has initiated Zhas Orken programme to attract, select, train and develop talented graduates of Kazakhstani universities. In 2017, about 600 graduates submitted applications for participation in the internship competition. As a result of the open competitive selection, 20 young people were given an opportunity to intern at NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, Air Astana JSC, Kazpost JSC, Kazakhtelecom JSC, Tau-Ken Samruk JSC and KEGOC JSC, Samruk-Energy JSC, etc.
Gulmira Raissova, Director of Corporate University of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, noted:
"Currently the participants of our programme undergoing internship at the Fund’s production facilities throughout Kazakhstan, including Shu, Aktau, Atyrau, Ekibastuz. They quickly joined the work and show such good results that many companies are ready to employ them today."
Participants of the programme within two years will intern in the Fund’s four companies, for 5 months each. As a result of the internship, young people will have the opportunity to get a job at Samruk-Kazyna companies. One of the participants of Zhas Orken programme, Yerzatkhan Abylaikhanov, is currently undergoing internship at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC. According to his mentor, Rashid Nurtazayev, Director of Labor and Environmental Safety Department, the young man successfully fulfills all the tasks and is a suitable candidate for employment.
The internship programme for 2018 is already open. Students completing Bachelor's and Master's Degree in 2018, as well as 2016, 2017 graduates are invited to take part in the programme.
